Done for the "character of the week" event on conceptart.org a while ago. The topic was "Fallen Valkyrie". Ran out of time (of course), and decided to simply change to a valkyrie.
Took me much longer than expected, but was a good practice. I was very enthusiastic when drawing this, and though all I can see now are the flaws, I think its still a small milestone on a long way to better art  . A big piece every now and then can really show your weak points. Enough room for improvement. I was aiming for realism, though some parts do seem a little stylized. Anyhow, don't hesitate to crit! We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
